Our Aquariums and Fish
All-Glass 55 Gallon Freshwater This is my second current tank that I have recently setup. The tank was a 30th birthday gift from my family but thankfully I get to decide what fish I want to get for it ;) Currently it is undergoing a fishless cycle so there are no inhabitants. I'll be sure to post pictures once the fish arrive.
For equipment this tank has: - Marineland Penguin Bio-Wheel 350 Filter - Tracon 250 Watt Water Heater
All-Glass 26 Gallon Bow-Front Freshwater This is one my current tanks. This tank was purchased new and all new equipment was purchased along with it. It came with a matching tank stand that is shown in the tall shot below. Here are some pictures of the new tank setup and the fish. Let me know what you think! Tall shot of the complete tank and stand.

I started this tank with the fish from my previous tank (2 Mollies, 1 Red Tail Shark). All are still living today except for one of the Mollies. He was always the fat one out of the bunch so I think he just overate :-( Currently I have the following fish in the tank: - 3 Red Tailed Sharks - 2 Mollies (1 Yellow, 1 Silver and Black) - 1 Sunset Fire Platy - 1 Dwarf Gourami - 2 Three-spot Gourami - 1 Plecostomus - 2 Ladder Loaches Picture of some of the fish listed.
Tall shot of some of the fish.
For equipment this tank has: - Tetra-Tec PF300 Power Filter - Tetra-Tec HC200 Heater Capsule - Tetra-Tec AP150 Air Pump - Tetra-Tec AS-2 Air Stones - Penn Plax Air Tech 4-port Gang Valve - Rena Filstar XP1 Canister Filter - "Midnight Light" Nightime LED Lighting All-Glass 10 Gallon Freshwater This was my second freshwater tank. I gave the 5 gallon to a friend and moved my fish to their new 10 gallon luxury home ;-) I don't really have any direct pictures of this tank either, but I was able to find one picture that was cropped from a larger room picture.
I had the following fish in this tank: - 2 Guppies - 5 Mollies - 1 Red Tailed Shark - 1 African Water Frog - 1 Plecostomus Originally I only had 2 Mollies but they mated and had 2 batches of babies. Unfortunately all of them did not make it but 3 strong babies were able to survive and make the move to the 26 Gallon. For equipment this tank has: - Tetra Whisper Power Filter 20 - Rena Air 100 Air Pump - Tronic 50 Watt Water Heater I had this tank for about 3 years (up until February '03). Throughout this period its always had the original family of Mollies as well as the fish listed above. A couple of bouts of Ich took its toll on some of the fish as well as some new fish I introduced into the tank but overall I had great luck and enjoyment with this tank. Eclipse 5 Gallon Freshwater My first tank was an Eclipse 5 gallon. The Eclipse tanks are great since they give you everything you need to get started in one convenient package, but the downside I noticed is getting replacement parts. It is easy to get replacement Bio-Wheels, but other mechanical parts such as replacement lights were harder to get. Overall a great tank choice for a beginner. In this tank I had the following fish: - 2 Guppies - 1 African Water Frog I kept this tank for about a year and then found it difficult and expensive to get replacement parts for the 5 gallon I decided to upgrade it to a 10 gallon glass tank.
